On being morally upright in India

I was watching a discussion on NDTV about the Jessica Lal murder case, when a statement by Rahul Bose struck me: "It’s difficult to be morally upright in India", he said. I was left wondering, as I simply couldn’t gather enough material to flout this claim. What is wrong and right isn’t the point here. In a country where religion and spirituality are so deeply embedded in the society, how more ironical could it get to see that it’s difficult to follow the very same codes of righteousness?

Ok, enough incoherent thoughts for today.
