The perfect sand castle

No matter how many times I’ve tried to build a sand castle, I ended up making mounds. Looking at these makes me feel no better. However, in a recent study, an MIT team has found some help for us poor fellows:

The MIT team, led by Sarah Nowak and Arshad Kudrolli, showed that a ratio of eight to one was the most stable mix for sand and water.
