Recently The Daily Times, a Pakistani English Daily, had an article citing the Indian National Security Advisor’s(NSA) view on the progress of Indo-Pak peace process. That article contained a picture of former Indian president Mr. K. R. Narayanan. I kept struggling for a while trying to figure out how the former President was involved in the peace talks, only to realize that they put his picture in place of the NSA.
It seems the editors never saw the NSA before. So here is a primer:

I check Daily Times quite frequently. I love their editorials, and they are quite honest in their analysis, always. So given such high standards, it’s surprising how such errors can creep in. Here’s the snapshot of the article.

I noticed it too. From the way they put photos on their web page, it looks like they use the same stock shots…and they had only one named Narayanan, and they just put it up. Isn’t one Narayanan as good as the other?
